Education remains a top priority under my mayorship. Producing world-class Ilonggo talents through the Iloilo City Community College (ICCC) is a dream come true, not only for me, but also for my beloved constituents. We definitely need quality and globally-competitive tertiary education and this is being made possible among our less-privileged but deserving students under the tutelage of ICCC. As partners, our work for professionalism and service does not end in making sure that the students of ICCC graduates, but it is also to find them proper livelihood opportunities. Transforming the lives of students with the dignity to support their families and become productive Ilonggo citizens should be in the heart of all generous benefactors of the institution. Our donors, sponsors and partners have been helping our scholars finish school in search for a stable job and brighter future. I am personally reaching to all our friends, both in the private and public sector, to extend your charity/compassion and support to the scholars of ICCC. This fledgling  yet very practical college is meant to improve the lives of our young generation who cannot afford the high cost of private collegiate education. I extend sincerest gratitude to our partners as your kindness will always be etched in the history of ICCC. My legacy among the young Ilonggos, is not seen among visible structures alone, but in my quest to instill them the importance of knowledge, and the wisdom to pay it forward to the next generation.
